Which chairs can be cleaned on site?
Chair cleaning is for chairs with a padded or fabric-covered part, used every day and seldom cleaned properly. Each group is built differently and soils differently, so the Up specialist, our trained and identity-verified cleaner, identifies the chair before choosing the tools.
- Office chairs
- Swivel chairs with a felt or mesh back, leather or faux-leather chairs, executive chairs, ergonomic chairs and meeting-room chairs. Dirt gathers on the seat, the armrests and the headrest.
- Upholstered dining chairs
- Dining chairs covered in fabric, velvet or leather, with or without a padded back. Food, grease and sauce marks usually sit along the front edge of the seat.
- Armchairs and lounge chairs
- Deep-cushioned single chairs in a living room, reading room or bedroom. The method is close to sofa cleaning, with more attention to the armrests and the top edge of the back.
- Stools, dressing-table chairs and padded bar stools
- Small, but in many different materials; they are cleaned with the other chairs in one visit.
How much does chair cleaning cost in Ho Chi Minh City?
Chair cleaning is charged per chair: 45,000 VND for a fabric, felt or mesh office chair, 55,000 VND for an upholstered dining chair with a back and 130,000 VND for a fabric armchair. The table gives every rate, and the minimum per visit is 390,000 VND.
Send a photo of the room, close-ups of the stains and the number of chairs by WhatsApp or Zalo and you receive an all-inclusive price in writing before any work is done; for an office on several floors, a specialist can survey on site free of charge to plan the schedule. Five things decide which rate applies and how long the visit takes: the type and size of chair; the covering, since some materials need a conditioning step or cleaning by hand; the number of chairs, as chairs grouped in one area go faster than chairs spread over several floors; the soiling, from ordinary dust to coffee, grease, ink or a long-standing damp smell that needs spot treatment; and the time and place, meaning the slot you ask for, the building's access procedure and moving equipment between floors. Any change needs your written confirmation.
| Chair type | Price per chair |
|---|---|
| Office chair: fabric, felt or mesh | 45,000 VND. |
| Leather or executive office chair | 75,000 VND. |
| Dining chair or stool without a back | 40,000 VND. |
| Upholstered dining chair with a back | 55,000 VND. |
| Leather dining chair | 65,000 VND. |
| Fabric armchair | 130,000 VND. |
| Leather armchair | 160,000 VND. |
| Offices with 50 or more fabric, felt or mesh office chairs | 40,000 VND per chair. |
| Example: 30 fabric, felt or mesh office chairs | 1,350,000 VND; with 5 of the 30 in leather, 1,500,000 VND. |
How are fabric, velvet, leather and mesh chairs cleaned?
The method follows the covering: fabric and felt are extraction-cleaned, velvet and mesh are cleaned with very little moisture, and leather is cleaned and conditioned without wet-washing. The table sets out each one.
UpClean cleans and conditions only. It does not re-dye leather, patch tears, replace foam or repair the height mechanism or castors of an office chair; damage of that kind is recorded in the Up Report, the photo report sent after every visit, so you can arrange a repair with a furniture workshop.
| Material | Method |
|---|---|
| Fabric and felt | Deep vacuuming, spot treatment of stains, then spray extraction: the solution is sprayed into the fibres and drawn straight back out with the dirt, which limits how far water gets into the foam. |
| Velvet | Cleaned with low moisture and brushed in the direction of the pile, to avoid tide marks and patches of flattened pile. |
| Leather and faux leather | Never wet-washed. A cleaner made for leather, light brushing along the stitching, a wipe with a fine cloth, then a conditioner that helps the surface stay supple. |
| Mesh backs | Vacuumed and brushed mesh by mesh, then wiped with a barely damp cloth. Water is kept to a minimum so the plastic frame and the recline mechanism stay dry. |
| Suede, nubuck and silk | Sensitive to water. Send close-up photos and the chair's label; we confirm the job only once there is a method that will not harm the material. |
How is office chair cleaning organised for a whole office?
For an office, avoiding disruption matters as much as the result. We survey free of charge, count the chairs by type, note where the heavy staining is and propose a suitable time: late afternoon, Saturday or Sunday, within our service hours of 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Before the day we agree with your office administrator on access to the building, the lift for equipment and where power and water may be used. Chairs are cleaned one group of rooms at a time, labelled if they have to be moved, and returned to the right desk. The quote, the sign-off record and the Up Report are sent in writing, and a VAT invoice is issued by Uptech Technology Solution Company Limited on request.
Cleaning every chair in one round also keeps departments looking consistent. Chairs in reception and meeting rooms usually get the most thorough treatment, while chairs that are rarely used may need only vacuuming and spot cleaning. The specialist proposes this grouping at the survey, which keeps the cost down without giving up the look you want.
When do chairs need cleaning, and how often?
Upholstery takes in sweat, skin oils, crumbs and fine dust with every day of use. Any of the signs listed here means a deep clean is due; the table gives the usual intervals.
- The seat, headrest and armrests are clearly darker than the rest of the chair.
- The chair smells when you sit down, or after damp, rainy days.
- A light pat on the seat sends dust up into the sunlight.
- A dining chair carries grease or sauce marks that a damp cloth does not remove.
- Leather feels dry and stiff, with fine cracks starting at the edge of the seat.
| Chair | Usual interval |
|---|---|
| Office chairs in daily use | About every 6 months, above all in a crowded office or one where people eat lunch on site. |
| Upholstered dining chairs | About every 6–12 months; sooner in a home with young children. |
| Armchairs and lounge chairs | About every 12 months; they can be done in the same visit as the sofa. |
Can you clean upholstered chairs yourself?
Day-to-day care, yes: vacuum weekly with a soft brush head, blot a spilt drink at once with a dry cloth and keep a cover over the headrest. Wet-washing a fabric chair with a cloth and soap is another matter. It tends to leave tide marks and a soap residue that makes the chair soil again quickly, and water that soaks into the foam dries slowly and can turn musty.
A spray-extraction machine recovers most of the dirty water as it works, so the chair comes out evenly clean and dries faster. Fabric and felt chairs still need a few hours to dry, depending on the thickness of the padding and the ventilation; leather and faux leather are cleaned with very little moisture and can be used sooner. Keep the room aired, or run the aircon or a fan, and wait until the fabric is dry before sitting. The specialist tells you the time for each material at handover.
For leather, keep the chair away from glass that takes strong sun, never wipe it with alcohol or washing-up liquid, and condition it from time to time so the surface stays supple.
