What does a deep clean include? A room-by-room checklist
This is the standard scope of a deep clean, room by room, so you can tick it off at the walk-through. The Up specialist, our trained and identity-verified cleaner, works from the ceiling down so that falling dust does not land on a surface already cleaned.
- Living room
- Ceiling, corners, ceiling fan and lights dusted within safe reach; TV unit, display cabinets, tables, chairs, door handles, switches and sockets wiped; floor vacuumed and mopped, including under the sofa where reachable.
- Kitchen
- Grease removed from the hob and the splashback behind it; fronts of cupboards, fridge, oven and range hood wiped; sink, tap and floor cleaned. Insides of cupboards and appliances are cleaned only when they are in your quote.
- Bedrooms
- Headboard, wardrobe fronts, desk, dressing table and window sills dusted; under the bed vacuumed where reachable; floor mopped. Mattresses and curtains are separate specialist services.
- Bathrooms
- Limescale removed from the shower, the basin tap and the shower screen; toilet, basin and mirror cleaned; floor and wall grout scrubbed; surfaces wiped dry to limit water marks.
- Balcony and loggia
- Railings, sills, frames and sliding-door tracks wiped; floor swept and mopped; dry leaves and debris cleared from the corners and the drainage channel.
- Glass within reach
- Both faces of windows and balcony doors where the specialist can stand safely indoors or on the balcony floor. Outer high-rise glass that cannot be reached from inside is not part of the service.
How much does deep cleaning cost in Ho Chi Minh City?
The price is your floor area multiplied by the rate for your type of home: 15,000 VND per m² for an apartment, 17,000 VND for a townhouse and 20,000 VND for a villa, and never less than 900,000 VND per visit. The floor areas in the table are common examples; your own price is confirmed from the area and photos you send, before you book.
A home just renovated, repainted or handed over by the developer is priced as post-construction cleaning instead, because there is far more dust and residue to remove.
| Home and floor area | Deep cleaning price |
|---|---|
| 1-bedroom apartment, e.g. 50 m² | 900,000 VND (750,000 VND by floor area, so the minimum per visit applies). |
| 2-bedroom apartment, e.g. 70 m² | 1,050,000 VND; usually finished in one day. |
| 3-bedroom apartment, e.g. 100 m² | 1,500,000 VND; usually finished in one day. |
| Penthouse or duplex, e.g. 180 m² | 2,700,000 VND, at the apartment rate. |
| Townhouse, e.g. 150 m² total floor area | 2,550,000 VND; team size and time are set by area and condition. |
| Villa, e.g. 300 m² total floor area | 6,000,000 VND; team size and time are set by area and condition. |

One-off deep clean or regular Up Home visits: which do you need?
The two work together. A deep clean brings a home back to a thoroughly clean state; Up Home, our regular home-care membership, keeps it there. The sensible route is one deep clean first, then Up Home.
- Purpose
- Deep clean: the places that get little attention from week to week. Up Home: a home kept in order from one week to the next.
- How often
- Deep clean: every 3–6 months, or for an occasion. Up Home: a fixed appointment; the Essential plan is weekly.
- Who comes
- Deep clean: a team sized to the floor area each time. Up Home: the same team, working from a saved profile of your home, so there is nothing to explain again.
- Cost
- Deep clean: per m², minimum 900,000 VND per visit. Up Home: a plan price proposed from your floor area and frequency; hourly visits are 130,000 VND per hour, minimum 3 hours per visit.
- Suits
- Deep clean: a home not cleaned in depth for a long time, before Tết, before guests, between two tenancies. Up Home: a busy household that wants a tidy home without booking each visit.
- Up Home plans
- The Essential, Plus and Signature plans are described on the Up Home page.
How are marble, wood, stainless steel and glass cleaned without damage?
A well-finished apartment often brings several materials together in one room, and the wrong product or tool can leave a dull patch or a scratch that is hard to put right. Each group of surfaces has its own method.
- Natural stone
- Marble and many other natural stones react to acidic products, which can take off the polish or leave a dull mark. We use a mild product suited to stone.
- Wood
- Water is not left standing on timber. It is wiped with a well-wrung cloth so edges do not swell and the coating does not lift.
- Stainless steel and kitchen appliances
- Wiped along the grain of the metal, never with an abrasive pad that could scratch the surface.
- Glass and mirrors
- Cleaned, then dried with a dedicated cloth to limit water marks and cloth streaks.
- Glazed ceramic and grout
- Limescale is treated area by area with suitable tools; grout is scrubbed hardest where it is damp most often.
Bathroom deep cleaning: limescale, grout and what cleaning cannot fix
The bathroom takes more time than any other room. Tap water leaves limescale on taps, shower screens and tiles, and constant damp dulls the grout; sometimes a yellow mark forms around the base of the toilet and the basin.
Limescale is treated one area at a time, with a product and a tool chosen for the surface: glazed ceramic, glass, stainless steel or stone. Grout is scrubbed on the floor and at the foot of the walls, where water sits longest. Every surface is then wiped dry to limit new water marks.
Some stains have soaked deep into the tile glaze or the stone and may not come back to new; these are recorded in your Up Report, the photo report sent after every visit. A smell from the pipes, the trap or the toilet seal needs a plumber and is outside the scope of a deep clean.
In what order should you deep clean a home, and how do you keep it clean?
Order decides much of the result: in the wrong sequence, dust from above lands on a freshly mopped floor, or a product is wiped off before it has worked. Up specialists follow the steps listed first at every deep clean, and you can use them between visits; the habits after them keep the result for longer.
- Clear rubbish and put personal items away, so every table and cupboard top is exposed.
- Work from high to low: cobwebs, ceiling, fans and lights, then walls, doors and furniture.
- Spray scaled and greasy areas in the kitchen and bathrooms early, so the product works while other rooms are done.
- Clean glass, frames and sliding-door tracks once the dust from above is gone.
- Vacuum every floor, including under beds and sofas, before any damp mopping, so dust is not dragged into streaks.
- Mop from the innermost room towards the door, without stepping on the wet floor.
- Check each room again and return every item to its original place.
- After cooking
- Wipe the hob and splashback while the grease is fresh; it is far lighter work than removing old build-up.
- After each shower
- Squeegee the shower screen and wipe it dry to slow limescale.
- At the doors
- A doormat at the front door and the balcony door keeps sand and dust outside.
- In long spells of rain
- Open the windows when the rain eases to let air through, and dry the floor near the balcony door after driving rain.
- Each week and each month
- Vacuum weekly and clean the sliding-door tracks monthly, so grit does not jam the door rollers.
What should you check before hiring a house cleaning company in Ho Chi Minh City?
A stranger will be in your home, handling your family's belongings, so the choice deserves the care you would give to hiring a small contractor. Rather than comparing on price alone, check any company, UpClean included, against these points.
- A price in writing, in advance
- The rate and the scope should be confirmed before the visit. At UpClean any later change needs your written agreement.
- Staff you can identify
- You should know beforehand who is coming. We send the name and photo of each identity-verified specialist before every appointment.
- Proof of the work
- Before-and-after photos and a task list let both sides check the result. The Up Report is sent by WhatsApp or Zalo as soon as the visit ends.
- What happens if something is missed or damaged
- The company should say how it deals with this. UpClean re-cleans free of charge within 48 hours if an item falls short; damage is reported within 24 hours with photos, which are compared with those taken before work began.
- A legal entity and invoices
- VAT invoices for UpClean services are issued by Uptech Technology Solution Company Limited, tax code 0316973414.
Which areas of Ho Chi Minh City do you cover for deep cleaning?
Our deep cleaning teams work to a regular schedule in four areas: Binh Trung; An Khanh, which takes in Thao Dien, Thu Thiem and the Sala urban area; Phu My Hung, now Tan My and Tan Hung wards; and Thanh My Tay, where many towers stand along the Saigon River. Since July 2025 the city has had wards instead of districts, but people still search by the old names: the first two areas are in former District 2, Phu My Hung in former District 7 and Thanh My Tay in former Binh Thanh. The schedule also covers Cat Lai ward (formerly Thanh My Loi), former Districts 1, 3 and 4, former Phu Nhuan and Nha Be commune.
Homes in Districts 5, 6, 8, 10, 11 and 12, Go Vap, Tan Binh, Tan Phu and former District 9 can also be booked by phone, WhatsApp or Zalo on 0773 521 104; the time slot is confirmed when you book.
